 Support local this Holiday Season
With Christmas fast approaching (8 weeks to be exact) it might be time for the organised at heart to think about doing your Christmas shopping for friends, family and colleagues.
Let's face it Christmas shopping can be challenging and time-consuming… You might love it, you might dread it, but it's best not to leave it to the last minute, especially if you like to order online as this year there will be more delays due to Corona Virus and postage delays.
This year has been one for the record books, but there is one thing for sure this holiday season, and that is that our local Australian businesses need our support.

It's been a tough year for many small businesses that are a massive part of our communities. Local retail shops, restaurants, accommodation and cafes have been doing it tough with reduced capacity, lost clients and being shut for considerable periods.
If you are looking to do your shopping soon, why not look to buy local this Christmas. Get organised and make a list of all the local businesses you would like to support. They might be local in your neighbourhood, a business you love that is run out of Melbourne that delivers or somewhere you’ve always wanted to visit.

You could support them through purchasing vouchers, such as a restaurant vouchers to your favourite café, a voucher for a local beauty treatment or shopping.
It might be booking a trip away somewhere local and having a bit of a staycation or shopping for all your Christmas lunch supplies at your local butcher, independently owned supermarket or local fruit and veg market.

There are so many ways you can support local businesses this holiday season.

If you are looking to book an end of year staff get together but are not doing the traditional lunch at a venue or pub, why not get them to cater in the office so you can still support these businesses?

Supporting local and small business will help them through this time and is the perfect way to give back to your community this holiday season.

Happy shopping.
