It's a new year, and we are all excited for hopefully a more calm, healthy and prosperous new year.
 
2020 was undoubtedly a crazy one! This year we are setting some new goals with new plants that are auspicious and will hopefully help you thrive and prosper in the new year and bring some calm to your home or office space.  
 
Here are five plants to have in your home or the office to start the new year right.
 
Golden Pothos
Apart from being the plant that attracts wealth and prosperity, Golden Pothos is also one of the best air-purifying plants, and it can also absorb harsh radiations.
 
 
Lucky Bamboo
 
As the name speaks, bamboo is beloved to bring good luck in the atmosphere around. The lucky bamboo is also known as Fugui zhu – "fugui" for "wealth and rank", and "zhu" for "bamboo".
 
The plant can easily thrive both in soil and water.
 
Peace Lily
 
The peace lily plants can purify the air better than the other houseplants.
 
It is a member of the Araceae family. If you are buying this plant for a prosperous year ahead, then make sure to place it in medium light locations, out of direct sunlight.
 
 
Pachira
 
Pachira is a plant with dark green leaves which grows in a pair of five resembling the human hand.
 
And number five represents the Five Elements – wood, fire, earth, metal and water according to Feng Shui. Believed to bring happiness and fortune to the homes, Pachira is one of the perfect happy new year plants.
 
Orchid
 
This flowering plant symbolises fertility and abundance in the coming year, and it is believed to bring luck in relationships.
 
Among all the different orchid colours, violet is considered as the most auspicious one. It is best to keep orchid plants in bright indirect sunlight.
