Summer holiday fun
The summer holidays are upon us, and it's a chance to catch up with family and friends and enjoy a bit of downtime.

You might be looking for things to do with the kids, your significant other or just fun activities to keep you busy over the January period.

Here are our top tips for fun this Adelaide summer.

A Beach picnic with your friends

There is no better way to get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine than to organise a beach picnic with your friends. Pack your favourite Christmas Day leftovers and head to the beach with sunscreen, towels and a shady umbrella or two in tow.

It's a great outing for your friends with kids, and it will get you outside and enjoying the fresh air.

Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens

From the beach to the Hills, a visit to the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens can be a great family getaway to enjoy some fresh hills air and look around the botanic garden's sprawling gardens.

It sure to be a little cooler on the hotter of days for everyone to enjoy.

Ride the Ferries wheel at Glenelg

Enjoy the view of the Glenelg foreshore and maybe even head up on sunset to capture the sun as it sets. The Ferris wheel will give you a different perspective and a different way to enjoy Glenelg this year.

You can also enjoy the rides on offer at the Beach House for some serious summer fun.

Head to McLaren Vale for a spot of wine tasting

Looking for an adult-friendly way to enjoy the summer sun, head down the coast to McLaren Vale for a spot of wine tasting at one of the gorgeous wineries in the stunning McLaren Vale region.

Enjoy sipping on wine in the sunshine or having lunch at one of the superb dining locations.

Take a ride

Take the family or your favourite friend on a bike ride on one of the many riding tracks around South Australia. It could be a coastal ride or one through the winding Adelaide Hills and is sure to get the blood pumping.
