5 Ways to challenge yourself this year
Are you looking for ways to challenge yourself this year? We can get stuck in the day to day, get stuck in a rut or get comfortable with the status quo and move through from year to year, lacking a bit of motivation to challenge ourselves.

If you want to change your life, you have to get honest. Getting real with yourself about your life, your goals, relationships, and ultimately happiness requires blunt and candid transparency.

If you’re tired of being tired or just doing the same old, you need change.

Here are some ways to challenge yourself this year:

Read Different Books

We are what we eat, but we are also what we consume through our minds; try adding some different types of books to your reading list to broaden your mind.

You could expand to biography’s, lose yourself in fiction or learn a new skill or language from your reading.

Try a different exercise routine

It is very easy to get stuck in the same gym or running routine where we are comfortable; maybe it's time to mix it up and add some other types of exercise.

It will give you a new challenge to master, and you might make some new friends along the way as well.

Make Time for People

If you’re an introvert, this one might be a little tricky, but we believe in you. You can do it. Make time for your friends and get out of the house.

Instead of texting, try a phone call, even if it’s brief. Make lunch plans with old friends and don’t cancel at the last minute unless you have to.

Get a mentor

Sometimes we don't know which way to turn to next. Getting a mentor in life, work or relationships can help you define your goals and get back on track if you have been wandering through life a bit aimlessly.

Take up a hobby

Find something you enjoy; it could be as simple as painting, knitting or gardening or something a bit bigger like horse riding, learning a new language or something you’ve always wanted to try. But pick something you will enjoy the process of the learning.
