The McGrath Real Estate difference: We sell your house then help clear out your unwanted furniture

When is a house sale truly complete?

At McGrath Real Estate, we believe the sale process is not over until you've been able to clear out your unwanted furniture, clothing, and other reusable items, and have safely settled into your your home.

This is one of the many reasons we are foundation sponsors of Heart For The Homeless, a not-for-profit organisation that connects people who have clothing, furniture and appliances to give away, with local charities that are able to make those 'resources' available to others.

As the only real estate agent connected with Heart For The Homeless in metropolitan Adelaide, we are able to make it easy for our clients to have unwanted materials collected from their homes (before or after being on the market) so they can have an easy sale and post-sale process while helping people in need.

McGrath Real Estate’s reputation as the real estate agent of choice in Adelaide’s western and coastal suburbs has been built over four and a half decades.

We know that success in real estate is about so much more than the numbers, but, of course, the numbers do matter to everyone.

As I look back over our history, I can see we have achieved great sales results through developing strong relationships with our clients.

This has meant many of our clients have returned to us again and again, referred their family members and friends to us, and have even spread the word about McGrath Real Estate through their business networks.

While it is very humbling to be regarded highly, the key to maintaining our reputation is in how well we persevere with our commitment to relationships.

And the truth is, we know this will never fade because we hire people who espouse these values and we all stop to remind ourselves of the importance of client relationships every single week.

It may come as a surprise that being full of personality is almost never a key selling feature of your home — in fact the opposite is true, which is why we've compiled these real estate selling tips for sellers in Adelaide's western and coastal suburbs.

If your furnishings and décor are strongly stamped with your taste you risk alienating buyers who would otherwise have been willing to pay a good price for your property.

Your home is your castle, but what you love about it because you consider it inviting, cool or eclectic, for example, can make it seem strange or uncomfortable to others.
